Since its establishment in 2022, Syntesia has implemented around 50 assignments, including complex projects valued at up to EUR 700,000, for numerous clients at various levels:

At the EU level, Syntesia works extensively with the European Commission, supporting several Directorates-General, such as Taxation and Customs (DG TAXUD), Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs (DG GROW), and Health and Food Safety (DG SANTE), as well as with different EU agencies, including the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) and the European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE).

At the international level, Syntesia’s clients include the World Bank Group, notably the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the World Bank, United Nations agencies, such as the UN Refugee Agency UNHCR and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), other multilateral entities, including for example the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), as well as bilateral donors and governments, such as the German and Swedish development cooperation agencies.

Finally, Syntesia also works with private sector clients, including business representatives at both EU and country level, e.g. the European Container Glass Federation (FEVE), the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG), and Italian trade associations, as well as academic and training institutions, such as the European University Institute (EUI).

our services

Syntesia provides transversal support across a wide range of policy and development areas for institutional and private clients at the international, regional and national levels:

We evaluate projects, programs and strategies based on the traditional evaluation criteria and different cross-cutting areas (e.g. gender, environmental sustainability), as well as provide support for implementation and monitoring.

We prepare regulatory impact assessments that thoroughly define the problems at stake and the challenges to be addressed, develop scenarios and identify actionable policy options.

We measure the economic and social impact of initiatives funded by development partners.

We carry out market assessments and sector analyses.

We run economic forecasts and undertake foresight analyses.

We provide intelligence on regulatory frameworks and their future developments.

We offer capacity building support on policy making for both public and private institutions.

We prepare risk analyses and assessments of local business environments, and scout business opportunities in emerging markets.

We assist clients in their consultation, advocacy and communication activities.

our methods

We build theory of change frameworks and define measurable indicators.

We organize primary data collection activities by means of small- and large-scale surveys, structured interview programs and interactive focus group discussions.

We engage with stakeholders at all levels, including policy makers, support/representative associations and final beneficiaries.

We rely on a toolbox of both quantitative and qualitative methods for analyzing and triangulating primary and secondary data, measuring results and forecasting future trends.

We summarize findings, lessons learned and recommendations in detailed and illustrative reports and presentations.
